Terms of service

Last updated October 26, 2026

These terms cover the website design and upkeep services sold by Lintel Web Co. ("Lintel", "we", "us"), a locally owned business based in Genesee County, Michigan. By requesting a preview, paying a setup fee or subscribing to a monthly plan, you ("you", the business owner) agree to them.

1. What we sell

We sell two things: a one-time setup, where we design, build and launch a website for your business, and a monthly upkeep plan, where we host the site, keep it running and make small changes. Current prices are listed on our website.

2. The free preview

Before you pay anything, we may build a preview of your website and send you a private link. Looking at a preview costs nothing and doesn't commit you to anything. Until you pay the setup fee, the preview's design and code belong to us, and we may take the preview down at any time. If you don't buy it, we won't use your name, logo or photos anywhere else.

3. Payment

4. What you provide

You'll send us the information your site needs, like your services, prices, hours, logo and photos. You confirm that:

5. Your domain name

Your domain name (for example, yourbusiness.com) is registered in your name and paid for by you with the domain company you choose. If you already own a domain, you keep it, and we connect your new website to it at no extra charge. If you don't have one, we'll help you set it up and connect it. Because it's in your name, you keep it if you ever stop working with us.

6. Changes and updates

The upkeep plan includes up to 3 small changes a month, such as new hours, prices, photos or a line of text. Restaurant plans include menu and price updates. Unused changes don't carry over to the next month. Bigger changes, like new pages, new features or a redesign, are quoted before we start, and we only begin once you approve the price.

7. Hosting and availability

We host your site with reputable third-party providers and work to keep it online and secure. We can't promise your site will be available 100% of the time, and we aren't responsible for outages caused by those providers, your domain company, or events outside our control.

8. Ownership

Your business name, logo, photos and text stay yours at all times. Once you've paid the setup fee, you may use the finished website for your business for as long as you like. If you cancel, we'll send you a copy of your website's files on request so you can host it elsewhere. We may mention or show your site as an example of our work only if you say that's okay.

9. Cancelling

There's no long-term contract. You can cancel the upkeep plan at any time by email or text. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for. After that, we take the site offline and stop all charges. See our refund and cancellation policy for details.

10. What we won't build or host

We won't build or host anything illegal, deceptive, hateful, or that uses someone else's content without permission. We may refuse work or take a site offline if it breaks this rule, and we'll tell you why.

11. Accessibility

We build sites with common accessibility practices in mind, such as readable text, alt text on images and keyboard-friendly menus. Content you supply or change yourself, and third-party tools you ask us to link, can affect accessibility, so we can't guarantee that any site meets every accessibility law or standard.

12. Limits on our responsibility

Our services are provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost profits, lost business or other indirect damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Michigan law that can't be limited.

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you supplied (for example, a photo you didn't have the rights to), you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Genesee County, Michigan, unless we both agree otherwise. Before anything formal, please contact us; most problems are fixed with a phone call.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects an active upkeep plan, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
